Before you begin
How does pricing and payment work?
A 55-minute trial lesson costs £10 (up to three per learner). A four-lesson package costs £94 (£23.50 per lesson) and expires six months after purchase. Prices are in GBP, KickStart is not VAT registered, and there are no booking or platform fees. You pay by card inside the learner app; the public website does not take payment.
How do lessons happen — is it Zoom?
Yes. Confirmed 1:1 lessons use Zoom. After booking and payment, you receive join details in the learner app and by email. You need a stable connection and a device with a microphone and camera.
What is the refund policy?
Cancel more than 24 hours before the lesson and a package credit is restored or a directly paid trial is refunded. Late cancellations and missed lessons have no automatic refund, though you can email an appeal. If KSE, the teacher, or Zoom prevents delivery, choose a rebook, restored credit, or refund. Approved refunds return to the original payment method within 14 days.
Who are the teachers?
KickStart runs a small team of contracted teachers. They deliver live lessons on KickStart’s behalf; KickStart English Ltd remains responsible for the service and sets the published offer.
Can I book flexibly around my schedule?
Yes. Browse open times on each teacher profile, shown in your timezone. Pick a slot that fits your week — no fixed weekly commitment is required for standard 1:1 lessons.
Can I pay from Belarus, Russia, or abroad?
KickStart accepts card payments in GBP. Card availability depends on your bank and card issuer, so we cannot guarantee every local card will work. Contact hello@kickstart-english.co.uk if you need help before booking.
How do you handle my data and privacy?

How long is a lesson?
Every live 1:1 lesson, including a trial lesson, lasts 55 minutes.
Can I book a trial lesson?
KickStart offers a £10, 55-minute trial lesson. Each learner may purchase up to three trial lessons. Create a free account, choose an available time, and pay inside the learner app.
Are lesson packages available?
KickStart offers a £94 package of four 55-minute lessons (£23.50 per lesson). Package credits expire six months after purchase.
